Boarding Requirements
We make every effort to keep your pet safe while staying with us. Our suites have isolation panels to prevent contamination from one space to another and are cleaned regularly with disinfectants to maintain pet health.
For the health and well being of all our guests your pet must meet the following requirements before boarding with us. Proof of vaccinations must be provided prior to your pet's visit. Your veterinarian can fax records to 231-238-3647 attention: pet resort.
Dogs
- Current Rabies vaccination
- Current DAPPL vaccination (Distemper, Adenovirus, Parainfluenza, Parvo virus, Leptospirosis)
- Current Bordatella vaccination (Kennel cough)
- Negative fecal test within the last 6 months or currently taking a heartworm medication that also prevents intestinal parasites.
- Free from fleas.
Cats
- Current Rabies vaccination
- Current Feline leukemia
Temperament
The temperament of guest will be evaluated at check-in. Aggressive dogs that are deemed to be a danger to our staff may be denied. If you are concerned about aggression issues we can schedule an interview prior to your vacation or travel plans.
Food Health
For the health of your pet we strongly recommend bringing their food with you to minimize digestive upset. For those who choose not to bring your pet's normal food, we feed Science Diet Sensitive Stomach. An additional charge of $1.00 per meal will be applied.
